Participatory Action Research (PAR) Project: Sport Programming and Youth Development
Description: The aim of the project was to use participatory action research (PAR) methodologies to investigate the potential of sport to initiate social change in the lives of marginalized youth. To investigate this subject, the project was granted access to evaluate a new youth programming initiatives being undertaken at Hart House Student Centre at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus. The project was funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Education and Innovation and headed by Dr. Simon Darnell, Director of the School for Sport Policy Studies at the University of Toronto.
